Governors
John Charles (Chair of Governors)
John works in risk management for a large business consultancy based in London. He has been chair of governors of the school since 2013 and is a parent of two former Trinity pupils who now attend secondary schools in Reading. He is a member of Chiltern Evangelical Church in Reading.
Alison Caldwell (Safeguarding)
Alison taught Geography and Religious Studies at a local independent school until retirement. She has been responsible for leading on safeguarding at Trinity since becoming a governor in 2014. Alison attends Church at the Green in Arborfield Green, part of the Arborfield and Barkham Parish Churches.
Anand Singh (Quality of Education)
Anand is Head of Chemistry at a large independent school outside Reading. He is enthusiastic about developing Trinity and leads on matters relating to quality of education for Trinity. Anand attends the Arborfield and Barkham family of churches.
Billy Chau (Finance)
Billy works in the data analytics department of a fintech company. He was a qualified accountant, working in FP&A department in multiple companies. His family moved to the UK recently and is one of the parents of the school. He is a member of the Trinity Church Lower Earley.
Keith Brown (HR, Recruitment of Staff and Volunteers & Staff Wellbeing)
Keith’s career has been in Education, firstly as a secondary school teacher, then in the training and development of businesspeople.
He has served in Strategy, Leadership Development, Team Building and Quality Improvement in large organisations in Africa (South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria & Uganda), USA and India
Keith served in Hillcrest Baptist church in South Africa for over 40 years where he founded a private Pre-School and was chair for 30 years.
Keith and Barbara have moved to the UK to be near children and grandchildren and have served in Chiltern Evangelical Church since October 2023.
Rob Duncan (Technology)
Rob became a Christian in 2000 and is a consultant in the energy sector. He is a fellow of the IChemE, a former member of the chartered management institute and has completed post graduate diplomas in theology and management. He guest lectures in unit operations and loss prevention at institutions including the University of Surrey and UTC Reading. Rob teaches STEM at Trinity through assemblies and one off lessons up to twice a term. He is treasurer and member of Binfield Heath Chapel.
Ruth-Abigail Williams (Recruitment of Pupils and Marketing)
Ruth–Abigail Williams is a professional educator with a heart for empowering students to learn for life through a Biblical worldview of metacognition, vocabulary expansion, oracy and literacy skills development using research-based pedagogies and addressing individual learners’ needs. A career privilege was teaching from a Biblical worldview in sub-Saharan Africa from 2000-2010. In the UK, Ruth–Abigail teaches in an edtech-enriched teaching and learning environment designed for the 21st century. As a Christ-owned, MFL and English teacher of more than thirty years, Ruth–Abigail is delighted to be associated with Trinity Christian School and is committed to doing all she can to support the staff and pupils going forward.
