Assessment of Pupils
All pupils will be assessed on admission to the school. During their time in the school their teachers will regularly carry out formative assessments so that each pupil is given work which is appropriate for their abilities.
Pupils will be given twice-yearly tests in English and Maths, as well as some formal tests in other subjects. Pupils’ progress will be monitored closely by their class teachers.
There will be opportunities for parents to meet with their child’s teacher at any time, in addition to this there will be formal Parents’ Evenings in terms 1 and 2. Parents will receive a written report on their child’s progress during term 3.
